My room feels a bit empty without my plastic set of drawers. He almost fell down the stairs and yelled at me (and the person holding the door open for us) because he stepped wrong, the dude went to help, I leaned up against my dad envisioning him falling down and spilling my shit everywhere and he yells "don't do that!" in a very loud vaguely angry/frustrated voice. I talked to him about it, about how I resented him yelling at me in public with an RA literally holding the door for us and he was apologetic when I confronted him about it but I understand because he's super frustrated because of current events in our family:
Code officer got called on us for 'trash in the yard' and our blackberries probably by the new neighbors across the street. My sister is freaked out, I'm worried about the calls never stopping, and also being policed. ugh. So we have two weeks to take care of our forest of blackberries, clean the trash up (some of which is not even visible from the street and the stuff that has been there has been there forever) and our family consists of: a 70 year old with COPD, a very petite young woman, and a fat(ish) young man with chronic pain and a bad back. Also and while we aren't someone looking in from the street looking at our dilapidated house might think that we're relatively poor. So. Disabled. Poor. Both combinations mean that we might not be capable of getting all of that done in two weeks (MY finals weeks!) or afford to have someone take care of it for us! So it's the idea pissing my off and not the reality lol.
I have a lot of stuff to do this week: a big spanish project due tomorrow, therapy, meeting up with a partner to finish off said spanish project, spanish class. Thursday I have a cavity filling at early-o-clock in the morning (for me... 10:30am is early for me!) working desperately on my research paper due next wednesday so I can have something to show off in class that day, and then the weekend will be a frantic rush (hopefully) of studying for my spanish test on monday, and working on and finishing my research paper due on wednesday and then I MOVE OUT of the dorm on that Thursday! Busy busy busy! Also moving back into my family's home now THAT will be fun. And then my summer will be pretty busy because I plan to redo my room entirely (which will be a lot of effort), work on language aquisition so I can reinforce what I learned this term (and last term) to finish off my first year of Spanish in the fall of next year.
